3 MINUTE THESIS COMPETITION

An 80,000-word thesis distilled into just 180 seconds. The CSPC'26 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition challenges postgraduate researchers to deliver a compelling, high-impact presentation of their complex research using a single static slide and no props. This fast-paced event celebrates dynamic academic communication, pushing participants to step "beyond the prompt" to explain the core value and real-world significance of their work in a language that captivates a non-specialist audience. Dive in to witness the ultimate test of clarity, brevity, and intellectual charisma.

To participate in the 3MT Competition, candidates must meet the following criteria at the time of the event:

• Open to all currently registered PhD and Master’s (by Research & Mixed-Mode) candidates at the School of Computer Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

• Participants must maintain an active candidature status during the competition.

• This specific track is exclusively reserved for on-site participants.

Outstanding presentations will be evaluated by a panel of judges. A total of three (3) top winners will be selected based on the judges' final consensus and scores for academic merit and presentation quality.
