Dr. Ahmad Soleimani is an active researcher in the field of Affective Computing (where AI meets HCI). Thanks to his combined theoretical and practical expertise obtained from academic and industrial top-tier job placements for almost two decades, Ahmad has managed to build a robust background in his career and professionally possesses profound knowledge and expertise in a wide spectrum of technical areas under the big umbrella of Computer Science and Information Technology. He is currently a visiting consultant at the department of Computer science, Sultan Qaboos University in Sultanate of Oman. His permanent affiliation is with Sheridan College, a highly impactful higher educational institution with a few campuses across the Greater Toronto Area, where he serves at the capacity of program coordinator for a newly established graduate program titled Mobile Applications Development Certificate alongside his regular teaching duties. Dr. Soleimani has led and supervised several capstone projects funded jointly by the Sheridan college and the industrial sector. Ahmad holds a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, A MSc in Computer Science (Major in Robotics), and a PhD in Computer Science (Major in AI – Affective Computing) both conferred from the University of Windsor, ON. Canada.
